Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 23 August 2026

1. Who we are

Vertiq Training Ltd, company number 17235901, registered in England and Wales.
Registered address: 167–169 Great Portland Street, Westminster, London W1W 5PF
info@vertiqtraining.com · 0800 652 9677

These terms apply when you book training with us, whether you book as an individual learner or as an employer booking for your staff. Please read them before booking.

2. Booking and acceptance

An enquiry is not a booking. A booking is confirmed when we send you a written confirmation, at which point a contract exists between us on these terms.

We may decline a booking where a learner does not meet the entry requirements for a qualification, or where we cannot deliver assessment in your location.

3. Fees and payment

Fees are as quoted at the time of booking. Current prices are published on this website and in our price list.

  • Payment terms: Individuals paying for themselves: a minimum of 50% is payable before platform access is granted. The balance may be spread over a maximum of twelve monthly instalments, taken by card. No interest and no fees are charged on instalments — the total you pay is the same as paying in full.
Employer accounts: payable across a maximum of six instalments, each due within 30 days of the relevant invoice.
  • Registration fees paid to an awarding organisation on your behalf are non-refundable once the registration has been made.
  • Vertiq Training Ltd is not currently registered for VAT, so the prices quoted are the total payable. If we become VAT registered we will say so here and prices will be adjusted accordingly.

4. Access to the learning platform

On confirmation of your booking we will give you access to the Vertiq learning platform. Your login is personal to you and must not be shared. Course materials are provided for your own learning and may not be copied, redistributed or used to deliver training to others.

Access lasts for 12 months from enrolment for short courses and safety training, or until certification if that is later. The longer programmes carry 24 months of access. There is no requirement to finish within that period, but access beyond it is chargeable — ask us for the current extension fee. We may suspend access where fees are unpaid or where these terms are breached.

5. Changes, cancellation and non-attendance

If you cancel or reschedule:

  • More than 14 days before an assessment day — full refund, or reschedule at no charge
  • Between 14 and 5 days before — 50% of the fee for that assessment, or one free reschedule
  • Fewer than 5 days before, or non-attendance on the day — the full fee for that assessment. The assessor and the slot are committed by that point and cannot be reallocated

If we cancel or reschedule — for example because an assessor is unavailable — we will offer you the next available date or a full refund of the affected element.

Consumer cancellation rights. If you are booking as an individual rather than through a business, you normally have 14 days to cancel a distance contract. Where you ask us to begin delivering digital content or platform access within that period, you may lose that right once delivery has begun — we will tell you clearly at the point of booking.

6. Your responsibilities as a learner

  • Give accurate information at registration — awarding organisations may refuse or withdraw certification where details are wrong.
  • Complete the online learning before attending any assessment day, where the course requires it.
  • Submit your own work. Evidence must be genuine, current and your own.
  • Follow site safety rules and any reasonable instruction given on an assessment day.
  • Tell us about any reasonable adjustment or special consideration you may need, as early as possible.

7. Assessment, certification and appeals

Assessment decisions are made against the awarding organisation's standards. Certification is issued by the awarding organisation, not by Vertiq, and is subject to their requirements and timescales.

If you disagree with an assessment decision you may appeal. Our appeals procedure is available on request , and you may ultimately take an appeal to the awarding organisation.

We operate malpractice and maladministration procedures. Plagiarism, falsified evidence or impersonation may result in a decision being withdrawn and the awarding organisation being informed.

8. Intellectual property

All course materials, platform content and resources remain the property of Vertiq Training Ltd or its licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you.

9. Liability

We will deliver our training with reasonable care and skill.

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Otherwise, our total liability in connection with a booking is limited to the fees you paid for it. We are not liable for business losses such as lost profit, lost contracts or lost opportunity.

10. Complaints

If something goes wrong, tell us at info@vertiqtraining.com. We will acknowledge within 3 working days and aim to resolve within 20 working days. Where a complaint concerns a regulated qualification you may escalate to the awarding organisation.

11. Data protection

We handle personal data as set out in our Privacy Notice.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
